GYDTA [metal strength member, optical fiber ribbon loose tube layer twisted filling type, aluminum-polyethylene bonding sheath communication outdoor optical cable] The structure of the optical cable is to put the single-mode or multi-mode optical fiber ribbon into a loose tube made of high modulus plastic filled with waterproof compound. The center of the cable core is a metal strength member. For optical cables with certain cores, the metal center strength member is extruded with a layer of polyethylene. The loose tube (and filling rope) is twisted around the center strength member to form a compact and round cable core. The gap in the cable core is filled with water-blocking compound and extruded with aluminum-polyethylene bonding sheath to form a cable.
